Requirements and Primary Responsibilities :
- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Human-Computer Interaction, Digital Media, or another technical field relevant to application development and UI / UX
- A minimum of seven (7) years of hands-on experience developing and sustaining enterprise-grade web or mobile applications for DoD, Federal, or similarly complex mission environments, including requirements analysis, architecture, and cross-platform design
- Demonstrated experience leading Agile / Scrum / DevSecOps teams to deliver secure software increments, including continuous integration / continuous deployment (CI / CD), automated testing, and secure coding best practices
- Possess a current certification relevant to DevSecOps and / or secure application development, such as SAFe DevOps Practitioner, AWS Certified Developer, Microsoft Certified : DevOps Engineer, or GIAC Secure Software Programmer (GSSP)
- Demonstrated experience with implementation and integration of modern Content Management Systems (CMS), such as Drupal, Adobe Experience Manager, or equivalent, in a secure, scalable environment
- Possess a minimum of an active DoD Secret security clearance at the time of proposal submission
Desired Qualifications :
Eight (8+) or more years' experience in modern UI / UX design for complex, security-conscious end-user applications, with a portfolio of work for DoD / Federal clients evidencing accessibility (Section 508), responsive design, and user-centered methodologiesExperience architecting and delivering solutions leveraging DevSecOps toolchains (Jenkins, Git, SonarQube, Fortify, Docker, Kubernetes, etc.), and automating application security testing within CI / CD pipelinesFamiliarity with the DoD Digital Modernization Strategy, NIST SP 800-64, Open Web Application Security Project (OWASP) Top Ten, and relevant DevSecOps security controls, applied in the development and sustainment of mission systemsHolds advanced certifications in UI / UX, accessibility, or front-end frameworks (e.g., Certified Usability Analyst (CUA), Certified Professional in Web Accessibility (CPWA), Google Professional UX Designer)Experience integrating CMS solutions with AWS or other cloud platforms, ensuring secure API management, high availability, and scalability compliant with DoD Cloud Computing Security Requirements Guide (CC SRG)Demonstrated experience with stakeholder engagement, user feedback loops, rapid prototyping, and A / B testing in agile DoD application development to ensure mission-focused, user-driven innovationExperience preparing and maintaining required system and program documentation (user stories, interface wireframes, design standards, and security documentation) to meet DoD Systems Engineering or RMF documentation requirements
