🧭 Position Summary : National Safety Specialist Child & Program Safety
The National Safety Specialist plays a vital role in supporting the safety, security, and compliance efforts across Compass Connections programs nationwide. This position is ideal for a detail-oriented safety professional who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to child welfare. The Specialist works closely with regional teams and the National Safety Officer to implement safety protocols, conduct audits, and promote trauma-informed practices that protect both staff and youth.

Salary : $69,222.00 / Salaried role. Bi-Weekly Pay
Location : 729 Washington Avenue
Employment Type : Full-Time, Permanent
Work Schedule : MondayFriday, 8 : 00 AM 5 : 00 PM (flexibility required)
Language Requirement : Must be fluent in Spanish and English
Travel : Hybrid with travel to program sites. Must commute to the nearest HUB office weekly

🎓 Qualifications
Must be fluent in Spanish and English
Bachelors degree in behavioral sciences, human services, or related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in safety, compliance, or child welfare settings
Familiarity with OSHA, state licensing, and federal safety regulations
Experience working with immigrant populations and trauma-informed care preferred
Valid drivers license and insurable vehicle
Ability to travel and respond to safety concerns as needed
🛠 Key Responsibilities
Support the development and implementation of national safety protocols and emergency response plans
Conduct routine site inspections and assist in safety audits
Participate in incident investigations and ensure proper documentation
Train staff on safety procedures and regulatory compliance
Assist in monitoring regulatory changes and updating internal policies
Serve as a liaison between program teams and the National Safety Officer
Promote a culture of safety, accountability, and trauma-informed care
