About The Position

Job Title : Speech and Language Pathologist

Profession : Speech and Language Pathologists

Shift : Days

Hours per Shift : 8 hours M-F 9 : 00 AM - 5 : 30 PM

Experience : 2+ years of pediatric SLP experience required

License : State License in Michigan

Certifications : BLS (AHA)

Must-Have :

• Master’s degree in Speech and Language Pathology
• Pediatric experience
• Able to obtain BLS prior to start

Description :

Under general supervision, responsible for providing speech, language, and dysphagia services to patients.

Includes evaluations, planning individual patient care programs, and treatments.

Performs patient evaluations and administers treatment for speech, language, and swallowing disorders.

Designs and revises plans of care and goals.

Provides written and / or verbal reports to physicians.

Completes documentation according to unit standards and regulatory requirements.

Participates in in-service education programs.

Keeps abreast of current trends and developments in speech and swallowing disorders.

Participates in related activities such as patient care committees, case conferences, and community education projects.

Attends staff meetings.
