Ability to recognize problem areas in health, nutrition, and development. Interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain effective working relationships with staff, children, parents, and other agencies. Ability to exercise professional judgment in evaluating before making decisions. Excellent communication skills, and the ability to effectively communicate with a wide variety of people of various educational and socio-economic backgrounds. Organizational skills, ability to prioritize, and the ability to function efficiently and independently to meet goals and objectives. Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel and Access. Experience conducting staff and family nutrition training on infant and toddler feeding, food allergies and safety, and prenatal nutrition. Knowledge on health & safety practices in ECE childcare settings. Bilingual in Spanish. Experience working with an Early Head Start or another program serving young children. Ability and willingness to travel to our other locations within LA County.

Come join our Venice Family Clinic team as a Dietician II and use your expertise to help support vulnerable populations in under-served communities. The Registered Dietician will :
- Provide content area expertise in the areas of Child Nutrition according to Head Start Performance Standards, and is also responsible for prenatal nutrition.
- Consult with families and staff about best practices in breast feeding, infant and toddler nutrition, prenatal and family nutrition.
- Work closely with the Head Services Manager for meal service at play groups and family child care, center and CACFP regulations, trainings for parents and staff, and meeting federal guidelines.
Note this position will also work at our other locations (1-2 days per week) in Santa Monica and Hawthorne.
Salary range : $81,348- $107,302 Annual
