Summary

Assistant Counsel provides legal services and counsel to the Cape Fear Valley Health System and its related entities (CFVHS) on various legal matters including interpretation & application of laws and regulations, as well as contractual relations and liability matters.

Education And Formal Training

Must be a graduate of an accredited law school.

Professional Certification

Licensed to practice law in North Carolina or must obtain License within 1 year of employment.

Work Experience

3 years as a practicing attorney in a law firm or in-house position.

Additional Education / Experience Preferences

Experience in health care industry, including preparation of contracts and transactional documents, is preferred.

Requirements

Work schedule in excess of 40 hours / week.

Effective oral and written communication; strong problem-solving skills; possesses knowledge of health care industry; ability to work well individually and as a team member.

Attorney - NC State Bar
