job_description.job_card.job_descriptionProgram & operate Laguna CNC Router using VCarve software Work with additional equipment to include routers, sanders, saws, drills, etc. Read and interpret plans, sketches and shop drawings Work with designers and management to achieve customers satisfaction Maintain a high level of production while maintaining quality Respond to quick turn-around orders Perform well in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment Determine type and dimensions of wood stock to be used Nest to minimize waste or raw stock Maintain & clean equipment and work areas Perform related duties as assigned Two years of VCarve programming experience Knowledge of plastics & Plexiglas, Auto Cad and SolidWorks a plus Experience with laminates, tongue & groove and veneers desired Frequent use of hands (e.g., use of a computer keyboard, manual machining centers) and mobility. Intact or corrected hearing, speaking, bending, standing, walking, stooping, and visual acuity. Sufficient strength and physical dexterity to perform related duties and responsibilities of this job including team lifting up to 75 lbs. Operate heavy machinery. Must have manual dexterity. Work closely with shop manager & sales staff on projects Must be able to read a tape measure accurately Knowledge of shop practices and skill in using shop tools and equipment Ability to read blueprints and translate into fabricated products Manage time and projects to achieve time sensitive deadlines Report obstacles timely to facilitate resolution Multi-tasking and ability to manage several projects simultaneously Able to see projects thru from concept to completed construction Ability to handle frequent interruptions and adapt to changes in workload and priorities Able to work independently with minimal direct supervision or as a team Team player with positive attitude Ability to communicate effectively (verbal and written) Regular consistent and punctual attendance Must have reliable transportation As a condition of employment, any successful job applicant will be required to successfully complete a background investigation, physical examination, and drug screening.
