About the Role

Our client, a reputable commercial general contractor, is seeking a seasoned Construction Superintendent to lead tenant improvement (TI) projects in the hospitality and restaurant sectors. This role is ideal for a hands-on leader with a strong background in commercial construction and a passion for delivering high-quality spaces on time and within budget.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations on hotel and restaurant TI projects
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, building codes, and project specifications
  • Maintain project schedules and proactively resolve delays or issues
  • Conduct regular site inspections and progress meetings
  • Communicate effectively with project managers, clients, and stakeholders
  • Manage site documentation including daily reports, RFIs, and change orders

Qualifications

  • Minimum 5 years of experience with commercial G.C. companies
  • Proven track record managing tenant improvement projects in hotels or restaurants
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
  • Proficiency with construction management software and scheduling tools
  • OSHA 30 certification preferred

  • Experience with coastal construction or hurricane-resistant design
  • Familiarity with Florida building codes and permitting processes
