Kowa Health Care US Co, Ltd is a start-up company ready to embark on an exciting new venture to introduce a dynamic range of sports drinks to the US market. The new beverage division will cater to a growing market of health-conscious consumers looking for innovative hydration solutions. We will launch our first beverage offering, Syncron, as a nutritional sports drink in Southern California with expectations to expand across the United States. We are committed to holistic wellness drinks designed to support every phase of an active lifestyle.

JOB TITLE : Field Sales Representative

REPORTS TO : Regional Sales Manager

LOCATION : Ventura County

JOB PURPOSE :

Focus on gaining new distribution, building volume in existing accounts and executing programs at retail accounts within an assigned territory. The ideal candidate is a goal-oriented, revenue-focused individual who can quickly establish relationships for a growth-oriented sales strategy.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :

  • Observe the standards of conduct and responsibilities of FSR
  • Identifying, targeting, and sampling existing and potential accounts, both individually and in partnership with distributors, to maximize shelf space allocated and product offerings carried within an assigned territory
  • Sell in distribution with proper merchandising standards to new accounts
  • Build professional business relationships within assigned territory and use these relationships to maximize merchandising potential
  • Merchandising all products within assigned accounts to company standards, ensuring proper product rotation
  • Providing reports on day-to-day sales activities and results as required by company and providing necessary back-up to support sales and bonus programs objectives
  • Meet established program sales goals and market share targets within territory by utilizing effective sales techniques
  • Operate a digital tablet or other device to appropriately demonstrate Kowa's marketing and sales tools to contribute to the sales process
  • Comply with all company policies
  • Uphold organizational values
  • Maintain a regular work schedule
  • Learn and understand regulations and standards related to CPG / Beverage industry
  • Display strong independent work ethic, self-motivating
  • Use time efficiently; set goals and objectives
  • Submit all business expenses in a timely manner according to policy
  • Travel independently to training and meetings; this may involve air travel and overnight stay depending upon location
  • Other duties as assigned

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS :

  • HS Diploma required; Associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
  • 2 Years outside sales experience; Beverage industry sales experience preferred
  • Currently reside within the required geography for territory listed or willing to relocate
  • Must be at least 21 years of age
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record
  • Basic computer operating skills in and outside of an office environment to include handheld devices
  • Solid organizational and time management abilities, along with the ability to act independently
  • Ability to perform physical activities required by the job duties including occasionally lifting and moving up to 65 pounds individually and greater weights with assistance
  • Ability to bend, stretch, stoop, climb, and perform other physical acts associated with selling, demonstrating, and marketing products in an assigned territory
  • Availability for travel as required

    Below is required posting and listing information under the California Mandated Pay Scale Disclosure :

    1. Compensation

    Field Sales Representative is an exempt, salaried position. Salary offered is based on relevant sales experience at the time of hire. General range of starting salary is $58,000 - $70,000.

    2. Additional Compensation

    Field Sales Representatives are eligible to participate in the following additional compensation programs :

    Incentive Compensation / Bonus Plan

  • Field Sales Representative are eligible to participate in the Incentive Compensation plan for the designated year. Incentive compensation is based on sales performance. Additional information regarding the incentive compensation plan may be provided during screenings and interviews.
  • 3. Employment Benefits

    Kowa offers a wide variety of benefits to all employees. Elective benefits include but are not limited to : health, dental, vision, critical illness, accident, voluntary life, and other insurances. Kowa offers company paid benefits to include short term disability, long term disability, and an employee life insurance policy.

    Employees are eligible to participate in Kowa's 401K plan following 90 days of employment to include a company match.

    Kowa offers monthly accrued Paid Time Off in addition to leadership approved holidays.

    Field Sales Representatives who meet MVR requirements are eligible to receive a company car following completion of training.
