About the Role
Aegis Worldwide has partnered with a growth-minded manufacturer to bring on an Industrial Automation Maintenance Specialist. You’ll be the go-to problem solver who keeps production moving—using your hands, your laptop, and your diagnostic toolkit.
A Day in the Life
You start by reviewing your Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) dashboard and IQMS work orders. From there, you prioritize critical equipment and jump into action :
- Connect to PLCs to troubleshoot and fine-tune logic, Field Bus applications, and HMI programs from your laptop.
- Recover and reteach robotic systems to restore safe, repeatable operation.
- Execute preventative maintenance—checking drives, motors, belts, fluid levels, and filters to keep uptime high.
- Trace faults using repair manuals, blueprints, and schematics; verify with meters and other diagnostic tools.
- Repair or replace worn components using hand and power tools.
- Clean and lubricate shafts, bearings, gears, and other moving parts for optimal performance.
- Document every step in CMMS and close out assigned IQMS work orders with precise notes.
What You Bring
2+ years of industrial maintenance experience.Hands-on background in at least one : automation / robotics, PLCs, or stamping presses.Strong PLC troubleshooting skills and comfort working from a laptop on the plant floor.Tools & Technologies
You’ll regularly interface with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC) across multiple platforms, including Fanuc, Allen Bradley, Mitsubishi, Siemens, and Omron.

Equipment issues diagnosed quickly and resolved safely.Preventative tasks completed on schedule and accurately captured in CMMS / IQMS.Robots recovered and reteached with minimal downtime.Clear communication and thorough documentation on every work order.
