Patient Services Specialist

Currently, we have a Patient Services Specialist  opportunity with a nationally recognized healthcare system that combines cutting-edge medical innovation with compassionate, patient-centred care, offering rewarding career growth in a supportive environment.

Your specific duties will include :

• Assisting with patient relations, check-in / check-out, scheduling, insurance verification, and answering phones.
• Arranging follow-up visits and referral appointments.
• Registering patients by collecting and verifying insurance information.
• Verifying and updating patient demographics.
• Directing patients to appropriate waiting areas.
• Accepting payments for physician / clinic services and posting payments using correct codes.
• Generating daily payment reports and reconciling cash drawer.
• Providing accurate medical, financial, or procedural information to patients and approved outside entities.
• Discussing financial arrangements with patients, as needed.

Pay Rate Range :   $17.00 - $20.00 per hour

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Employees have access to healthcare benefits including medical, dental and vision as well as a 401(k) plan.
