Shalom Japan, a Michelin recognized, Jewish Japanese fusion restaurant helmed by James Beard Award-winning chefs Aaron Israel and Sawako Okochi, is hiring for their floor team. This is a full time position. Saturday and Sunday Brunch shifts are available, as well as closing weekday and weekend shifts. This is a bartending and serving hybrid position. The opportunity to cross train into junior management for Shalom Japan is available to the right candidate. This position is perfect for a hospitality professional that would be interested in adding management experience to their skillset.
We are a family owned and operated restaurant with a casual but refined atmosphere. Knowledge of Square and Resy is a plus, as well as a passion for hospitality, and an interest in Japanese or Jewish food. The menu is small and concise and changes seasonally so studying is required for both food and beverage. We are a small, very busy neighborhood restaurant with good vibes and a close-knit team.
