Med / Surg RN Job Details Location : Hummelstown, PA 17036 (Pennsylvania nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Medical-Surgical (Med / Surg) Unit Assignment Type : Travel Registered Nurse Contract Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Night shifts, 12 hours each Hours per Week : 36 Start Date : October 27, 2025 Openings : 5 Med / Surg RN positions Estimated Weekly Pay : $1620 - $1740 Special Note : Holiday coverage required, especially Christmas Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Pennsylvania RN license preferred) BLS Certification (Basic Life Support) required prior to first shift ACLS Certification (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required prior to first shift Minimum 1 year of recent bedside clinical experience (2 years Med / Surg RN experience highly desired) Experience in medical-surgical nursing preferred Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Perform comprehensive nursing assessments within 8 hours of patient admission Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary healthcare teams Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic medical record Participate in patient rehabilitation programs and discharge planning Communicate changes in patient status to healthcare team members to ensure continuity and patient safety Provide direction and supervision to ancillary nursing staff and clinical support personnel Promote a safe environment by adhering to hospital safety policies and procedures Contribute to team building and a positive work environment Assume charge nurse responsibilities as needed after orientation Engage in ongoing professional development and continuing education for Med / Surg nurses Apply now to join our healthcare team in Hummelstown, PA, and take the next step in your travel nursing career!
