Job Description
Our client is a Memphis ABA provider who is looking to add a Speech Language Pathologist to their team. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) evaluates, diagnoses, and treats individuals with communication, speech, language, voice, and swallowing disorders. The SLP designs and implements evidence-based treatment plans to help clients improve their communication skills and enhance overall quality of life.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess speech, language, voice, fluency, and swallowing abilities.
Develop individualized treatment plans based on client needs and therapy goals.
Provide direct speech and language therapy using evidence-based techniques and interventions.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members, including occupational therapists, physical therapists, behavior analysts, educators, and physicians, to ensure coordinated care.
Train clients, families, and caregivers in home-based programs and carryover strategies to support progress.
Maintain detailed and timely documentation, including evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in accordance with payer and regulatory standards.
Participate in IEP (Individualized Education Program) meetings, care team conferences, or progress reviews as required.
Stay current with research, license requirements, and best practices in speech-language pathology.
Promote a positive and supportive therapy environment that fosters engagement and growth.
Requirements
Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred.
Prior clinical experience in pediatric, educational, or healthcare settings preferred (CFY applicants may be considered).
Strong communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills are required.
