Supervisor of Employee Leaves, Bureau of Human Resources and Labor Relations
- ONLY PERMANENT EMPLOYEES IN THE CIVIL SERVICE TITLE OF PRINCIPAL ADMINISTRATIVE ASSOCIATE ARE ELIGIBLE TO APPLY. The Bureau of Human Resources is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Supervisor of Employee Leaves to oversee and administer employee leave programs, including FMLA, disability, paid time off (PTO), and other leave-related policies. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with company policies, state and federal regulations, and provide guidance to employees and managers on leave-related matters. DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT NOT BE LIMITED TO :
- Administer and oversee all aspects of employee leave programs, including FMLA, ADA accommodations, short-term / long-term disability, military leave, and personal leave.
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws, as well as City policies.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for leaves and benefit employees regarding leave policies, procedures, and eligibility.
- Coordinate with HR, payroll, and leaves and benefits team to ensure accurate leave tracking and payroll processing.
- Maintain detailed and accurate records of leave requests, approvals, and return-to-work documentation.
- Provide training and support to managers and employees on leave-related matters.
- Stay updated on changes to leave laws and recommend policy updates as needed.
- Manage escalated cases and work with legal to resolve complex cases.
