American Traveler is hiring an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist for a long-term acute care assignment, requiring BLS and 2 years of SLP experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in a Long-Term Acute Care (LTAC) hospital attached to a skilled Extended Care facilityDay shifts, Monday through Friday, 8 : 00 AM to 5 : 00 PM (5x8s)Patient caseload approximately 1 : 5No weekend or on-call requirementsPotential floating within scope to meet facility needsCerner charting system is used in the hospital, PCC is used in LTCTravel pairs are acceptedLocal candidates are accepted with no radius restrictionsFree onsite housing is availableProvide speech therapy and rehabilitation services to patients in an LTAC and skilled nursing environmentWork with an interdisciplinary care team in a Level IV hospital settingFlexible dress code; any scrub color allowed per facility policyParking is free onsiteFull orientation provided; RTO requests limited to one per contract with a one-week maximumHoliday coverage is not required for this assignment\n \n Requirements\n
Active state SLP license or eligibility for pending license at time of considerationCurrent Basic Life Support (BLS) certificationMinimum of 2 years of SLP experience in a relevant setting is requiredFEES, LSVT, and SLP-CF certifications are preferredCerner charting experience is preferredFirst-time travelers are not acceptedOne week of RTO per contract is allowed, with no RTO during the first two weeks\n Benefits\n
