Position Purpose
The Medical Laboratory Tech is responsible for analyzing various chemical, microscopic and bacteriologic tests to provide physicians with pertinent information regarding the patient's health under the supervision of the Medical Technologist or Pathologist.
Essential Functions
- Collects specimens.
- Performs specimen analysis and other tasks and procedures in hematology. urinalysis, serology, chemistry, blood banking, and microbiology.
- Reports analysis results appropriately.
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Required Qualifications
laboratory science, or medical technology from an accredited institution; OR
Credentials
and obtain certification within six (6) months of hire.
