About The Position

Job Title : MRI Technologist

Profession : MRI Tech

Shift : Day

Hours per Shift : 8 (7 : 00 AM - 4 : 30 PM)

Experience : 2 years of recent MRI experience required

License : Completion of an AMA approved program in Radiologic Technology or equivalent

Certifications : ARRT (R) (MRI) certified, CPR BLS via AHA

Must-Have :

• Completion of high school / GED or completion of college
• Preference for one year of experience in an imaging modality
• Completion of at least one travel assignment

Description :

Assignment location includes MRI tech scanning and screening patients.

Flipping rooms is required during the shift.

Breast procedure experience is a plus.

Experience with GE scanners is preferred.

Reports to MRI Manager or Chief Imaging Technologist.

Performs diagnostic magnetic resonance imaging of organs and organ systems.

Conducts blood flow studies as necessary.

Provides radiologists with images needed for diagnostic results.

Ensures comprehensive diagnostic reports are available for referring physicians.

Orients physicians, residents, staff, and student technologists on magnetic resonance imaging objectives.

Assists nursing staff in the area, including witnessing medication wastage.

Documents procedures in the appropriate systems.
