Senior Network Engineer - 2313231

EMPLOYER : Optum Services Inc.

LOCATION : 1 Optum Circle, Eden Prairie, MN 55344 (Telecommuting available from anywhere in the U.S.)

Responsibilities

  • Design and implement computer and information networks, such as LANs, WANs, intranets, extranets, and other data communications networks.
  • Design, implement, and manage secure and efficient VPN solutions; evaluate network requirements, configure VPN technologies, ensure data confidentiality, integrity, and availability, and provide expert guidance on VPN-related matters.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, architect VPN solutions, and oversee the integration of VPN services into the organization's network infrastructure.
  • Provide advanced technical support for VPN-related issues, diagnose and resolve network problems, and maintain documentation of configurations and troubleshooting procedures.
  • Provide training to internal teams on best practices; ensure VPN configurations adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements; conduct regular performance evaluations and implement enhancements; stay updated with the latest technology and security protocols.
  • Maintain documentation and participate in capacity planning and scalability efforts; contribute to collaboration and communication across teams.

Requirements

  • Employer will accept a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or in an Engineer-related occupation.
  • Position requires two (2) years of experience in : architecting and implementing solutions to meet security and connectivity requirements; configuring, deploying, and maintaining VPN technologies such as IPsec, SSL, and MPLS VPNs; ensuring data confidentiality, integrity, and availability; evaluating and enhancing network performance; monitoring industry standards and regulatory requirements; providing technical support in diagnosing and resolving VPN-related issues; maintaining detailed documentation and providing training on best practices; and maintaining network capacity to scale with business needs.

    • Compensation

    RATE OF PAY : $93,787 - $176,738 per year
