We are currently looking for a Senior Claims Expert focused on Design Professional Liabilities. In this pivotal role, you will manage and resolve intricate claims related to design professionals such as architects and engineers.
Your responsibilities will include :
Investigating, evaluating, and effectively resolving professional liability claims linked to design professionals.
Analyzing coverage issues and developing suitable claim strategies aligned with policy terms and applicable regulations.
Collaborating with insureds, brokers, defense counsel, and experts to ensure the prompt and effective resolution of claims.
Maintaining precise and detailed documentation and reports in compliance with our internal standards and regulatory requirements.
Engaging in mediations, settlement negotiations, and overseeing litigation as needed.
Providing guidance and mentorship to junior claims professionals.
Staying informed on industry trends, legal developments, and emerging risks in the design professional sector.
Key Skills and Abilities :
5-7+ years of experience in claims handling, litigation, or similar legal and insurance roles.
Proven organizational and technical skills, with a deep understanding of professional lines coverage and claim resolution strategies.
Comprehensive knowledge of claims, litigation, and trial processes, alongside advanced analytical, investigative, and negotiation abilities.
Proficient in influencing and collaborating with diverse stakeholders both internally and externally, plus adept at resolving complex and disputed claims.
Analytical mindset focused on achieving results across various aspects of legal and claims processes.
Commitment to ongoing learning and technical skill development.
A broader perspective on the immediate claim issues and their impact on the overall portfolio and customer service in coverage disputes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the capability to effectively navigate conversations with differing viewpoints and expectations.
Technical expertise in complex coverage analysis is a must, as well as confidence in coverage evaluation and reserving, strong writing skills, negotiation expertise, and familiarity with Power BI is a bonus.
