HOST – JOB DESCRIPTION

Host Responsibilities :

The Host is responsible for ensuring all guests are greeted, made to feel welcome, and seated in a friendly and courteous manner. The Host reports directly to the Restaurant General Manager.

Host duties will include, but are not limited to :

  • Greet all restaurant patrons immediately upon their arrival
  • Inquire as to the number of guests in the party, maintain wait lists, and communicate wait time to guests
  • Assign guests to server stations in a fair and equitable manner, gather the appropriate number of menus, and seat guests accordingly
  • Answer customer inquiries about the menu and restaurant
  • Answer phones and book reservations as requested
  • Perform opening and closing side work duties such as cleaning menus, waiting area, and restrooms
  • Assist with table setup activities

Experience / Qualifications :

  • Ability to multitask and remain clam and professional in a fast paced environment
  • Solid communication and interpersonal skills
  • A friendly and energetic personality with customer service focus
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. and to stand for long periods of time as well as walk, bend, stoop
  • Ability to cross-train and work in different departments

    The Host is a full time or part time position and hours may vary

    Salary / Income :

    The Host is a non-exempt, hourly position
