This role is for a licensed Civil Professional Engineer (PE) with specialized experience in wastewater systems. The PE will provide engineering expertise, technical oversight, and project leadership on wastewater treatment facilities and civil infrastructure projects.

Primary Function
The Civil PE will provide engineering expertise, technical oversight, and project leadership on wastewater treatment facilities and civil infrastructure projects. This role involves design review, regulatory compliance, and on-site support during construction and commissioning.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead design and engineering of wastewater treatment systems, pipelines, and related infrastructure.
- Conduct design reviews, site evaluations, and engineering calculations to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Provide on-site technical support during construction, installation, and commissioning phases.
- Collaborate with contractors, project managers, and municipal stakeholders to maintain project schedules and budgets.
- Stamp engineering documents, reports, and drawings as required.
- Troubleshoot and resolve wastewater system issues in real time.
- Transition quickly between projects as assignments are completed.
Qualifications
Active Professional Engineer (PE) license in Civil Engineering (Texas preferred; multi-state a plus).Minimum 5+ years of experience in wastewater or municipal water infrastructure projects.Expertise in water / wastewater treatment facilities, conveyance systems, and regulatory compliance.Familiarity with EPA, TCEQ, and local / state permitting requirements.Strong project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.Willingness to travel 100% to project sites nationwide.Excellent problem-solving and communication abilities.Compensation & Travel
Hourly Range (Contract) : $70 – $90 / hour (commensurate with experience and project scope).Annualized Equivalent (Full-Time) : $145,600 – $187,200 per year.Travel Allowances : All travel expenses are fully covered, including flights, lodging, rental car or mileage, and daily per diem for meals.Benefits (Full-Time) : 401(k) with company match, Paid Time Off (PTO), comprehensive healthcare (medical, dental, vision), plus life and disability coverage.Location : Houston, TX (100% Travel to Project Sites)
