Med / Surg RN Job Details Job Title : Med / Surg Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) Location : Charleston, SC 29425 (South Carolina nursing jobs) Healthcare Setting : Main hospital and Ashley River Tower Contract Length : 13 weeks Start Date : November 3, 2025 End Date : February 2, 2026 Shift : 3x12-hour night shifts (19 : 00 - 07 : 30), 36 hours per week Weekend Requirement : Every other weekend Holiday Rotation : Required Guaranteed Hours : Facility may call off 1 shift per 2 weeks Patient Ratios : Typically 1 : 6 Charting System : EPIC Scrub Colors : Solid Royal Blue or White top with Royal Blue bottoms Estimated Weekly Salary Range : $1420-$1530 Registered Nurse Qualifications Active South Carolina RN License or Multi-State / Compact State Registered Nurse License (in hand or proof of application required) Minimum 2 years of recent Medical / Surgical RN experience BLS certification required Experience providing clinical support to adult patient populations Ability to float between Med / Surg units as needed Proficient in isolation precautions, IV management, oxygen administration, and rapid response / code team participation Flu vaccine required (medical / religious exemptions accepted) Willingness to participate in emergency response teams during hurricane season (June-November) Med / Surg RN Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, compassionate care to adult patients across multiple Medical / Surgical units Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care plans in collaboration with interdisciplinary healthcare teams Administer medications, manage IVs, and monitor patient progress Utilize EPIC for accurate and timely clinical documentation Respond to rapid response and code situations as needed Float between assigned units based on hospital needs Maintain compliance with hospital policies, infection control, and safety protocols Engage in ongoing professional development and complete orientation modules (approx. 4 hours pre-start) Take the next step in your nursing career with this Med / Surg RN job in Charleston, SC.
