ICU Registered Nurse Job Details Location : Clinton, Maryland (20735) – Greater Washington, D.C. area Assignment Length : 13-week travel contract Start Date : December 1, 2025 Shift : 12-hour nights (7 : 00 PM – 7 : 30 AM) Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1650-$1770 Clinical Setting : Neuro ICU (float to IMC, Med / Surg, or Telemetry as needed) Patient Ratio : 1 : 2 in ICU; 1 : 4 in IMC Weekend Coverage : Every other weekend (6 weekend shifts per contract) Charting System : Cerner Scrubs : Hunter Green (not provided) Parking : Free on-site parking ICU RN Qualifications Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in Maryland or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent ICU nursing experience Certifications : ACLS, BLS, NIHSS (required) Experience with telemetry, ventilators, and acute stroke / CVA management Proficiency with Cerner electronic charting Ability to float to Med / Surg, Telemetry, or IMC units as needed Flu vaccine required (no exemptions) Two supervisor references required Comfortable with every other weekend and holiday coverage ICU Nurse Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, patient-centered nursing care to adult and geriatric patients in the Neuro ICU Manage patients with complex conditions : multisystem organ failure, respiratory illnesses, renal failure, sepsis, CVA / seizures, STEMI / NSTEMI, DKA, and more Utilize advanced ICU nursing skills : ventilator management, telemetry, arterial and central line care, titration of cardiac and vasoactive drips, emergency interventions Float to IMC, Med / Surg, or Telemetry units as required, ensuring patient safety and quality care Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams : respiratory therapy, pharmacy, physical therapy, and rapid response teams Accurately document patient care using Cerner EMR Adhere to infection prevention protocols and hospital policies Complete orientation and required modules prior to assignment start Experience the best of Maryland nursing jobs in Clinton—enjoy a welcoming community, convenient amenities, and proximity to Washington, D.C.
