Description :

The Material Handler for Finished Goods Operations plays a crucial role in our manufacturing process. The primary responsibility of this role is to safely and efficiently move finished goods within the facility using a sit-down forklift.

Role and Responsibilities / Essential Functions

  • Operate sit-down forklifts for loading, unloading, and moving finished.
  • Stage oversized pallets in a structured manner to facilitate safe and easy pickup.
  • Confirm the accuracy of orders prior to dispatch.
  • Effectively communicate with colleagues to coordinate tasks and ensure operational smoothness.
  • Perform additional duties such as inventory, BOL creation, and other tasks as assigned.
  • Adherence to all safety guidelines to maintain a safe and secure work environment.
  • Participate in ongoing training and skill development programs. Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Promptly report any operational inefficiencies or safety hazards to the supervisor.

Requirements :

Required Skills / Abilities / Competencies

  • Measurement Skills : Basic math and measurement skills are essential.
  • Forklift : Minimum 1-2 years of sit-down forklift experience.
  • Coordination : Ability to collaborate with team members to achieve department goals and ensure workflow efficiency.

    • Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred.
  • A minimum of one year of sustained employment in a warehouse environment is highly preferred.

    • Mental / Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift, push, or pull up to 50 lbs unassisted
  • Capable of working in high heat conditions.
  • Role includes regularly stepping up / down to enter / exit forklifts. Occasional stooping, kneeling, and crouching. Regular standing and movement within the facility.
