American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for inpatient rehabilitation with experience in acute care and required IL licensure.
Responsibilities
Position is in an acute care hospital setting on the inpatient rehab unitWork schedule is 5x8 hour day shifts from 9 : 00am to 5 : 30pm, with every third weekend requiredPhysical Therapy services may be provided throughout various units within the hospital as neededPatient population includes adolescent, young adult, middle adult, and older adult patients across cardiopulmonary, geriatric, neurology, and orthopedic casesLevel II trauma center with 372 staffed bedsCerner charting system is used; experience preferredResponsibilities include comprehensive assessment, treatment planning, and management of diverse rehab casesFloating is required to various units within the hospital as neededWill work every third weekend and must be available to work 2 out of 3 major holidaysScrub color is grayParking permit is required but provided at no costPosition is open to local candidates with no radius restrictionFirst-time travelers are acceptedPrevious perm or PRN employees must have a 12-month separation before applying as a travelerRequirements
Minimum 1 year of recent physical therapy experience in acute care and rehabilitation hospital settingsCurrent BLS certification requiredActive IL PT license required for consideration; license required if applicableProficiency with assessment, documentation, adaptive and assistive devices, and key physical therapy interventions and modalities including TENS and ultrasoundExperience managing a wide range of orthopedic, neurologic, geriatric, and cardiopulmonary conditionsCompetency with equipment such as Hoyer lifts, wheelchairs, gait belts, crutches, and specialty bedsExperience with Cerner EMR preferredMust be in Illinois 3 business days prior to compliance deadline for fingerprintingBenefits
