Staff Pharmacist - Retail

Rotating Nights, Weekends & Holidays. Hours can start as early as 6am and as late as 7pm, for now. May be extended.

DEFINITION / PRIMARY FUNCTIONS

Under the general supervision of the Pharmacy Manager ,and in compliance with all applicable departmental policies, standards and regulatory requirements, prepare medications and other pharmaceuticals for dispensing to patients of the Medical Center, it's clinics and all employees and family members of the Medical Center. Reasearches and communicates drug information to pysicians, nurses and health care personel, patient's and families.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS (Minimum qualifications are required unless stated otherwise.)

Experience :

One year of retail / hospital pharmacy experience preferred

• .Experience with multiple pharmacy computer software

Experience with patient and OTC counseling

Education and Training :

B.S. in pharmacy from an accredited college of pharmacy or university or higher degree required

License, Certification & Registration :

MAPHAR - Licensed MA Pharmacist

Other Requirements :

Good interpersonal skills in communication .

Ability to multi-task.

Must be able to work independently without direct supervision within established policies.
