Pay Range Information :

Chapman University is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this position. This range takes into account a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. Salary offers are determined based on the final candidates qualifications and experience, as well as internal equity and other internal factors. The anticipated pay range is not a promise of a particular wage.

Job Description Summary :

Research Associate will perform laboratory-based research in the Food Protection lab employing microbiological techniques; analyze, organize, and prepare data for publication; maintain current knowledge of appropriate related scientific literature; assist with training undergraduate and graduate students in the lab.

Responsibilities :

Conduct laboratory work by planning, performing, directing, and analyzing projects related to :

• Assist with training undergraduate and graduate students in the lab.
• Perform research studying microbiology.
• Plan, perform, direct and analyze scientific experiments.
• Present the labs findings at meetings.
• Write up our findings for publication in the scientific literature.
• Prepare progress reports for funding agencies.
