Manufacturing Equipment Reliability Technician

Company : Aegis Worldwide (onsite with our client) | Location : Goshen, IN | Direct Hire : (6a-2p)

  • You’re energized by fast-moving production floors and solving tough equipment problems.
  • You think in systems—mechanical, electrical, and PLCs—and know how they interact.
  • You like preventing issues as much as fixing them, and you document what you do.

What you’ll tackle

  • Preventive and corrective maintenance across hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Troubleshooting of mechanical, electrical, and PLC faults to reduce downtime.
  • Hands-on work with conveyors, presses, motors, pumps, gearboxes, ovens, and automated equipment.
  • Reading and applying blueprints, schematics, technical drawings, and OEM manuals.
  • Routine inspections to catch issues early and keep uptime high.
  • Support installs, testing, and commissioning of new machines and upgrades.
  • Accurate CMMS entries to log work orders, parts, and findings.
  • Adherence to safety rules and regulatory requirements—no shortcuts.
  • Coordination with production to schedule work with minimal disruption.
  • Continuous improvement ideas to boost reliability and performance.

    • What you bring

    Required

  • High school diploma / GED (technical certificate or associate’s in industrial maintenance / mechatronics preferred).
  • 3+ years in a manufacturing maintenance role.
  • Strong grasp of industrial electrical, PLCs, motors, drives, and control systems.
  • Proficiency with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical fabrication.
  • Skill with diagnostic, hand, and power tools—used safely and effectively.
  • Sharp problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to interpret technical documentation and schematics.
  • Commitment to a safe workplace.

    • Preferred

  • Experience with automated systems and robotics.
  • Welding / fabrication background.
  • Knowledge of Lean or TPM.
