Responsibilities Work in a high-volume, Level IV Labor & Delivery unit Unit comprised of 20 LDR suites, 4 C-section suites, 10 triage rooms, 51 Mother-Baby couplet rooms, and 14 antepartum rooms Handles high-risk pregnancies and over 500 deliveries monthly Academic teaching environment alongside large private OB practices Perinatal Transport Program and 24-hour in-house OB, anesthesia, and NICU coverage Night shifts from 19 : 00-07 : 30 Expansion anticipated in late 2025 with a new Women's Tower Main duties include caring for laboring women, assisting with deliveries, and monitoring high-risk cases Collaborate with OBs, anesthesia, and NICU teams US Social Security Number and US address required for consideration All Ascension positions follow a radius rule; local candidates may be accepted at a reduced rate COVID vaccination is not required Dress code is likely consistent with clinical scrub requirements typical for Labor & Delivery settings First-time travelers are welcome to apply Requirements Current RN license for Texas or compact state Minimum 2 years of recent Labor & Delivery or perinatal experience in a high-volume setting Current BLS (AHA required), ACLS (AHA required), and NRP (AAP / AHA required) certifications Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certification required Associate's degree in Nursing from an accredited institution Preferred : 3-5 years of perinatal experience, S.T.A.B.L.E.
