Requirements :
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Plan health and safety program protocolsWork with HR Manager to determine Risk Management and Safety initiativesEducate supervisors, managers, and other leaders in the organization about health and safety standardsCoordinate and lead safety training sessions to all employees and ensure new and annual safety training is completedEnsure compliance with OSHA, federal, state, and local laws and regulationsVerify employees are consistently following safety protocolsAnalyze health and safety dataMaintain and post required OSHA log postingsConduct and participate in regular safety inspections and audits at all locationsDevelop and maintain accurate records to include training, inspections, and incident reports to provide safety metrics to support safety program initiativesInvestigate and report accidents, incidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective actionsCollaborate with HR Manager on Worker's Compensation claims and injury / illness data to improve safety metricsMonitor and ensure the availability and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)Assist in the development of emergency response plans and conduct and coordinate safety drillsAct as a liaison with regulatory agencies during safety inspections and auditsProvide guidance and support to employees on safety-related issues and concernsPerform other related duties as necessary or assignedEDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, or a related fieldMinimum of 3 years of experience in a safety coordinator or similar roleComprehensive knowledge of OSHA regulations and other safety standardsCertification in First Aid and CPR preferredREQUIRED SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Proven ability to develop and implement safety policies and proceduresStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to conduct risk assessments and safety auditsProficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of safety management softwareAbility to train and educate employees on safety standards and best practicesStrong organizational and time-management skillsSelf-motivated and able to work independently and function as a part of a teamProof of insurance and valid state motor vehicle license with acceptable motor vehicle recordPHYSICAL / ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
