Sign on Bonus : $15K

Salary range : $70K - $96K

We are seeking a compassionate, detail-oriented Medical-Surgical Registered Nurse (Med Surg RN) to join our dynamic healthcare team. The Med Surg RN is responsible for providing direct and individualized nursing care to patients based on the nursing process. This position requires excellent clinical judgment, the ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team, and a commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities :

Attend 100% of all mandatory in-services and complete all required training and continuing education.

Complete physical and psychosocial assessments of assigned patients.

Create, update, and individualize nursing care plans in collaboration with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Implement and contribute to the Medical Plan of Care.

Accurately transcribe and implement physician orders.

Document patient care and responses thoroughly and accurately.

Administer medications safely using the 10 Rights of Medication Administration :

• Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability to changes in nursing practices and unit operations.

Practice sound clinical judgment and maintain professionalism in interactions with patients, families, and healthcare team members.

Identify and participate in quality improvement initiatives and department goals.

Complete and submit variance reports regarding unexpected incidents involving patients, families, or staff.

Communicate risk and safety concerns to management in a timely manner.

Uphold organizational standards of behavior and patient-centered care.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

Ability to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate age-appropriate nursing care.

Familiarity with regulatory expectations from the Joint Commission and Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).

Strong interpersonal communication and critical thinking skills.

Capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.

Education :

Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program.

Experience :

Prior experience in Medical / Surgical nursing preferred, but not required.

Licensure & Certifications :

Required :

Current RN license in the state of Iowa or valid multistate license.

BCLS (Basic Life Support) Certification

Iowa Mandatory Reporter – Child and Dependent Adult Abuse Certificates (upon hire)

Preferred :

Medical-Surgical Certification
