Materials Manager

Job Title : Materials Manager Job Location : Aiken, SC - 29801 Onsite Requirements : Material management Planner ERP Job Description : Plan, coordinate, control, and direct activities involving the scheduling and release of production orders, the requisitioning of purchased parts, and maintaining accurate inventory control records and system procedures. Analyze and recommend solutions to improve availability of component parts to ensure adherence to production schedules. Perform supervisory duties on valve and actuator. Responsibilities : Responsible overseeing the release, control, and follow-up of all shop floor work orders from creation to shipment. Coordinate expediting of component parts to prevent production delays. Heavy emphasis on the investigation and resolution of component part availability issues. Recommend disciplined long-term solutions to inventory and delivery problems within a domestic and international supply chain. Analyze capacity, production, and inventory reports to ensure the constant flow of work orders from origination to shipment. Oversee inventory levels of purchased parts and raw materials as needed to meet production needs in conjunction with corporate commodity management and purchasing. Coordinate inter-company component transfers and manufacturing orders. Speak directly to vendors to resolve delivery issues and facilitate the involvement of various departments such as Engineering and Quality as needed. Assist with supply chain management, as directed, in support of assembly and fabrication production goals. Directly supervise Production Inventory Control associates. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include planning, assigning, and directing work, appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining, addressing / resolving complaints and conflict, and training. Manage special projects, as assigned. Safety is an integral part of each employee's responsibility. Stop work if continuing is unsafe or will create an unsafe condition.
