An exciting opportunity for a Senior Research Scientist to play a key role in advancing cell and gene therapy manufacturing within a leading global life sciences organization. This position involves overseeing complex biotechnological processes, supporting innovative therapeutic projects, and contributing to process improvements across multiple manufacturing sites.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee critical biotechnological manufacturing operations, including cell growth, harvest, vial filling, and inspection.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in specialized areas such as Cell Growth or Drug Product Filling.
  • Collaborate with internal and external experts to implement and optimize manufacturing processes.
  • Represent manufacturing in technical and project meetings during campaign preparation.
  • Develop and deliver training on new processes, batch records, and quality systems.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Support site safety initiatives and ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Provide guidance on equipment and material requirements for production execution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in Biotechnology, Life Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 510 years of experience in bioprocessing or related manufacturing environments.
  • Proven leadership in coordinating complex manufacturing operations.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and regulated environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally to support other sites.
