Unit : Cardiac Stepdown (Stepdown RN jobs)

Start Date : November 3, 2025

End Date : February 2, 2026

Duration : 13-week contract

Shift : 12-Hour Nights (6 : 45 PM – 7 : 15 AM)

Hours per Week : 36

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1570 - $1680

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active RN license in Mississippi or compact state (Registered Nurse license required)

Minimum 1 year of recent experience in Cardiac Stepdown, Telemetry, or acute care nursing

BLS and ACLS certifications required (PALS preferred; can be obtained within first 3 weeks on site)

Permanent address must be at least 50 miles from the facility (travel nurse eligibility)

Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills

Cardiac Stepdown RN Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in the Cardiac Stepdown unit

Monitor and assess cardiac patients, promptly recognizing and responding to changes in condition

Administer medications, cardiac treatments, and interventions as prescribed

Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

Educate patients and families on cardiac conditions, procedures, and post-discharge care

Accurately document all patient care activities in the electronic health record (EHR)
