Eye Health America is looking for a trained ophthalmic technician who would like to apply their clinical knowledge to help patients in a hybrid remote capacity. The ideal candidate has spent at least 2 years working with patients inside an eye care clinic and has strong conversational and problem-solving skills.
Job responsibilities :
- Take inbound patient calls related to :
Prescription questions
Pre-surgical and post-surgical questionsAdverse events related to surgeries and prescriptionsTriaging emergent eye issues and scheduling urgent appointmentsPlace outbound calls related to :Patient voicemails with clinical questions
Directives from in-clinic providers and staff on clinical communication to patientsPatient educational programsInput and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including demographic informationServe as an advocate for patients, addressing their concerns and ensuring their needs are metMaintain patient confidentiality in accordance with healthcare privacy laws (e.g.,HIPAA)Benefits :
