Responsibilities

• Manage relationships and agreements with third parties responsible for the routine and emergency maintenance of power, electrical, mechanical, cabling, building monitoring, security, and other critical data center infrastructure systems.
• Maintain and establish processes for the ongoing maintenance of data center rack and cabinet level documentation, including data center diagrams.
• Coordinate and establish processes for the shipping and receiving of data center assets, as well as regular updates to the Northside Hospital configuration management database based on deployment / decommissioning of equipment.
• Ensure physical security of data centers consistent with NSH policies and procedures.
• Establish performance benchmarks, conduct analyses, and prepare reports on all aspects of the critical facility operations and maintenance.
• Work with IT managers and other business leaders to coordinate projects, manage capacity, and optimize safety, performance, reliability, and efficiency.
• Develops and maintains all data center policies and procedures utilizing industry best practices.
• Create, utilize, and administer standard operating procedures for all work on critical data center facilities equipment.
• Assists in design, implementation, and testing of Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery processes for Data Center.
• Participate in technical infrastructure planning and strategy sessions as required.
• Practices proper safety techniques in accordance with hospital policies and procedures. Immediately reports any mechanical or electrical equipment malfunctions, unsafe conditions, or employee / patient / visitor injury-accidents to the director.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES / LICENSE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED
