What Youll Do as a Swim Instructor

At British Swim School , we dont just teach swimmingwe ignite confidence, build life-saving skills, and make learning FUN! Our team is serious about saving lives , but we have a blast doing it. Think of us as a mix between lifesavers, cheerleaders, and role models all rolled into one!

Teaching students (as young as 3 months!) and adults how to swim using our proven, gentle, and engaging methods.

Bringing high energy and positivity to every lessonyoull be your students' biggest cheerleader!

Creating a safe, welcoming environment where kids feel encouraged to learn and grow.

Working in the water for your entire shiftthis isnt a dry, on-the-sidelines kind of job!

Engaging with families and keeping them updated on their swimmers progress.

Who We're Looking For

If youre energetic, patient, and love working with kids , this role is a perfect match. You dont need to be an expert swimmerwell train you! A background in any of the following fields translates well to this job :

Camp Counselors & Youth Leaders If youve kept kids entertained and engaged at camp, youll thrive in the pool!

Teachers & Early Childhood Educators Your ability to instruct, encourage, and manage groups is ideal for swim lessons.

Lifeguards & Swim Team Members Love the water? Well teach you how to turn that passion into a life-saving career!

Sports Coaches & Fitness Instructors If you enjoy motivating others and breaking down skills, this is for you.

Babysitters & Nannies Your experience in keeping kids safe and engaged makes you a natural fit.

Customer Service & Hospitality Workers (Retail, Restaurant, Front Desk, etc.) You know how to create a friendly, positive experience in fast-paced environments.

Performers, Dancers, & Entertainers If you can captivate an audience, you can make swim lessons exciting and engaging!

What You Need to Succeed

A fun, enthusiastic personality We bring the energy every day!

Comfortable in and around water Well teach you the rest!

A passion for working with kids Their success will be your success!

Reliability and teamwork We support each other to create the best experience possible.

High school diploma (or in progress) No degree required!

Able to be on your feet in the pool for 4 hours at a time and occasionally assist in lifting kids.

Bonus points if you have : Experience working with children or Lifeguarding / First Aid / CPR / AED certifications (but not required).
