Controller Position

Selectek has a client with an opening for a Controller to lead their Accounting Team here in the Atlanta market. This position supports the North American sales organization and reports to the Managing Director and international based Group Controller. The focus of the role will be to maintain daily records of cash flow, processes daily customer invoices and keeps accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) up to date for the North American sales office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Month End Closing
• Approves month end journal entries
• Prepares month end account reconciliations
• Prepares financial statements in Microsoft Dynamics Navision and Cognos
• Prepares additional financial schedules at each quarter end and year end
• Prepares KPI calculations
• Maintains a documented system of accounting procedures
• Monitors accounts receivable aging
• Monitors inventory
• Manages annual audit engagement by external audit firm
• Manages periodic internal audit engagements
• Oversees the preparation of annual tax returns by outside accounting firm
• Maintains banking relationships
• Enters wires and ACH payments
• Prepares bi-weekly payroll
• Calculates bonuses
• Administers credit card program
• Supervises two- three employees
• Prepares monthly income statement forecast
• Prepares annual budget
• Coordinates annual business insurance renewal
• Helps administer PPO-based 401(k) plan, health insurance plans and other employee benefits

The Controller will have 3 direct reports here in Atlanta that will work on the team them. Does not need to come from a manufacturing company setting but that would be helpful. Highly prefer a CPA license but not required.

Bonus Information

Each Quarter they have the chance to earn a bonus (about 2.5% of their salary) for a total of 10% each year extra they can add in bonus to their salary. In addition to the quarterly bonus, the company offers a holiday bonus. It is usually the equivalent of 80 hours or two weeks salary.

Job Order Details

The focus of the Controller role will be to lead the accounting team (3 people) and act as the lead with their overseas counterpart in Thailand. This position supports the North American sales organization and reports to the Managing Director and Thailand based Group Controller. The focus of the role will be to maintain daily records of cash flow, processes daily customer invoices and keeps accounts receivable (AR) and accounts payable (AP) up to date for the North American sales office. They will assist with some payroll, benefits, and a small part of HR aspects, but the focus of the role is rooted in accounting duties and ensuring end of month and end of quarter data is reconciled correctly.

Monday Friday, 8AM 5PM; on occasion, an evening or weekend call may be required to support overseas manufacturing facilities.

Less than 10% business travel will be required on occasion. Travel was described as minimal
