What You'll Do

• Promote physical, emotional, and professional safety of all team members. Provide resources and remove barriers allowing teams to be effective.
• Lead and manage a team of direct reports including recordkeeping, time-tracking, training / development and managing performance.
• Communicate the company's policies and objectives and interface between the employees and the company.
• Emphasize, demonstrate and coach commitment to continuous improvement through lean manufacturing practices utilizing 5S, 8 Forms of Waste, etc.
• Demonstrate technical knowledge of current and new equipment and / or processes in order to support their development and optimization.
• Lead and / or participate in cross-functional teams regarding the concentration and execution of corrective actions by identifying the root cause (5 Why's, 8D's).
• Ownership and communication of departmental key performance indicators (KPIs).
• Create a positive working environment, which eliminates fear and intimidation and fosters team growth and professionalism.
• Interface with other departments on the production groups' behalf to ensure that company quality standards and customer requirements are met.
• Plan production to meet customer demands while maintaining a high level of product quality required by the customer.
• Participate in cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturing readiness of new products and processes.
• Handle disciplinary actions of team members according to company policy and with the assistance of Human Resources.
• Develop working knowledge of all workstations within the manufacturing area.
• Other duties as assigned.
