Senior Electronics Design Engineer (San Francisco)

Responsibilities

Electronics Design Engineer to lead the development and integration of control and auxiliary electronics. This role focuses on enabling safe, real-time, and robust communication between high-voltage power stages and embedded digital controllers, with a strong emphasis on MV / LV isolation, system protection, and signal integrity.

• Lead design trade-offs and architecture decisions for low-voltage subsystems supporting MV / LV power conversion, with a focus on safety and reliability.
• Design and validate hardware for control, sensing, and protection circuits
• Develop isolated interface circuits (e.g., signal isolators, isolated DC-DC converters, fiber optics) that ensure safe operation between high-voltage domains and low-voltage controllers.
• Collaborate with firmware and mechanical teams to ensure clean signal routing, system-level timing alignment, and successful EMI / EMC compliance.
• Execute DFMEA and component derating reviews for single fault tolerant designs to meet product lifetime requirements.
• Own full lifecycle development of PCBAs, including specifications, schematics, BOM, prototyping, testing, and release to production.
• Maintain detailed documentation of requirements and release notes for traceability and compliance.
