Frederick National Laboratory is hiring : Public Services Librarian in Frederick

The Scientific Library supports NCI at Frederick and Frederick National Laboratory for Cancer Research employees and is part of the Business Services Directorate of Leidos Biomedical Research, Inc. The Library assists in all phases of the research process, providing : background research information needed prior to initiating a new project; current awareness services used to keep up with the latest developments in specific scientific topics; data for evaluation and comparison in monitoring other similar research projects conducted elsewhere; support for dissemination of research results, preparing for publication; resources for evaluating quality of research performed.

KEY ROLES / RESPONSIBILITIES

• Oversees public services, Library events, marketing, and outreach within the Scientific Library
• Provides information management, reference, literature searching, and instructional services to scientists and support staff
• Serves at the circulation / reference desk and coordinates the schedule for service points
• Completes tasks requiring knowledge of bibliometrics, curriculum development, data management and research data lifecycle concepts
• Assists with duties related to interlibrary loan, current awareness services, and integrated library system administration
