- Active BLS certification
- Active RN license in the state
Description :
The position involves the care of 5-7 patients.
General job duties include admissions, discharges, and transfers.
Common diagnoses include congestive heart failure, renal failure, pneumonia, Clostridium difficile, and diabetes mellitus.
Telemetry monitoring is a requirement of the unit.
Familiarity with EPIC charting, medication scanning, and remote telemetry is essential.
The nurse to patient ratio is 1 : 5-7.
The unit has a bed size of 30-35.
Awarded staff will float to a sister unit as needed.
A navy blue scrubs dress code is enforced.
Medication competency training is part of the orientation program.
There is no on-call requirement, but staff is expected to work every other weekend and rotate through holidays.
Awarded staff will never work alone.
