The RN should have a basic knowledge of the pathophysiology of cancer and be able to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for patients on this unit. Responsibilities : (30%)

• Regularly assess patient needs and provide skilled nursing services as prescribed by the physician plan of care and accepted nursing standards. (30%)
• Provide direct patient care, including nursing assessment, medication administration, treatments, assisting with transfers, responding to alarms, and call lights. (20%)
• Evaluate treatment effectiveness and collaborate with the care team to update the treatment plan based on patient condition and assessments. (10%)
• Process physician / provider orders and perform physician-ordered care accurately and promptly. (10%)
• Follow up on medication changes and order clarifications.
