Vice President of Construction - Luxury Private Island Development

A prestigious opportunity awaits an experienced construction executive to lead the development of Torch Cay, an ultra-exclusive private island community in the Bahamas. This role combines luxury residential construction leadership with the unique challenge of managing a world-class island development project.

Position Overview

As Vice President of Construction, you will lead all construction operations for this landmark $500M+ development, ensuring the delivery of exceptional quality across residential, recreational, and infrastructure projects.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Drive strategic direction and executive oversight for all construction activities
  • Manage complex multi-million dollar budgets and cost control measures
  • Lead pre-construction planning, design review, and project execution
  • Oversee procurement and supply chain logistics in a remote island setting
  • Build and mentor high-performing construction teams
  • Maintain relationships with international vendors and local contractors
  • Ensure compliance with building codes and environmental regulations
  • Implement quality control systems meeting ultra-luxury standards

Required Qualifications

  • 15+ years in luxury residential / resort construction
  • 5+ years senior executive leadership experience
  • Proven track record managing large-scale development projects
  • Strong financial acumen and budget management expertise
  • Excellence in team leadership and stakeholder management
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field
  • Experience with remote or island construction preferred
