The Director of Student Activities will provide direction and leadership for the Student Activities functional area of the Student Center. This role will supervise three full-time staff members and student assistants, serve as the advisor to the Student Association, and oversee overarching policies and procedures for student clubs. The Director will manage the Student Activities budget, function as the approver for club expense reports, and lead OwlNest, Rice's online student engagement platform.
The ideal candidate has experience supervising full-time staff and advising a complex organization that works with student policy issues and student governance. Prior experience with student engagement platforms, club registration, risk management, facilitation of leadership programming, and budgeting will aid a successful candidate.
Hybrid position : This role combines both in-office and remote work to provide flexibility and support collaboration. The position would work one day remotely and four days in-office during the academic year, and two days remotely and three days in-office during the summer.
Hiring range : $85,500 - $88,500 annually, dependent upon qualifications and experience.
