Travel Nursing Job Details

Location : Hickory, NC 28601 (North Carolina healthcare jobs)

Estimated Weekly Salary : $1860 - $2000

Assignment Length : 13 weeks (option to extend)

Start Date : November 10, 2025

Shift : 4x10 hour day shifts (06 : 45 – 17 : 15)

Hours per Week : 40

Call Requirements : 7 days per month, including some weekends

Setting : Operating Room (13-bed surgical unit)

Patient Ratio : 1 : 1 nurse-to-patient ratio

Electronic Health Record : Cerner EHR

Registered Nurse Qualifications

Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required)

Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room (OR) RN experience

Experience with advanced surgical technology : Da Vinci robotics, Mako, Holmium Laser, and Hana table preferred

Ability to take scheduled call shifts, including weekends

Comfortable caring for adult and minimal pediatric (outpatient) surgical patients

Travel nurses must reside at least 60 miles from Hickory, NC

OR RN Responsibilities

Deliver direct patient care in the Operating Room, prioritizing patient safety and positive surgical outcomes

Assist surgeons and the perioperative team during surgical procedures using advanced equipment

Monitor and assess patients throughout the perioperative process (pre-op, intra-op, post-op)

Document all care accurately in Cerner Electronic Health Record (EHR) system

Participate in orientation and ongoing clinical training as required

Follow hospital policies and dress code (scrubs provided via hospital scrub machine)
