About This Opportunity

We are seeking an Engineer I (PE I) to join Cascade Energy! The PE I will assess client operations and identify opportunities for maximizing energy efficiency and performance in industrial systems. This role may involve exposure to clients at their site. With assistance from peers and management, the PE I takes a consultative role, gathers data, creates optimization models of industrial systems and writes feasibility reports for energy efficiency projects while also managing assigned projects. The PE I contributes to peer support and quality control review as well.

What You Will Be Doing :

• Assisting with the management, direction, and accountability on assigned projects
• Calculating energy savings for various system or equipment changes using existing calculation tools, original spreadsheets, and / or generally accepted methodologies
• Engaging with clients at their industrial locations to fully understand their equipment and operations and identify opportunities for energy efficiency
• Fostering and growing client relationships and identifying opportunities for generating additional work from current clients
• Discussing technical issues with a diverse audience in a way that facilitates understanding and agreement
• Assisting with composing energy efficiency project reports based on analyses and observations
• Documenting performance through data collection from customer sources or via installed data logging equipment
• Maintaining a basic understanding of utility programs and their compliance requirements
• Contributing to peers through technical discussions and work review

This is a full-time, exempt position to be located in the Salt Lake City UT area. The team is usually in-office 1 day per week. There will be site visits as needed and an occasional overnight site visit.

The salary range for this position in Salt Lake City, Utah is $61,900 - $77,400. However, final salary offered may vary depending on non-discriminatory factors such as job-related knowledge, skills and experiences, and geographical location if different than the above.
