Manager, Co-Brand and Advertising

The Manager, Co-Brand and Advertising is part of the Commercial Division. This role will lead a team focused on driving acquisition through innovative marketing across digital and out-of-home channels. You will work closely with strategic partners, influencing campaigns that reach millions of travelers. You'll have the opportunity to build and scale new campaigns and card products in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Design and execute comprehensive paid media, search, and advertising strategies to achieve aggressive acquisition goals

Identify and activate new channels and strategies to improve full-funnel performance, from awareness to conversion

Lead cross-functional analysis to support strategic investments in paid media and brand initiatives, presenting insights to senior leadership

Develop and execute messaging and brand strategies to support marketing campaigns for new and refreshed cobranded credit card products

Manage and align cross-functional teams across American Airlines and Citi, as well as multiple agency partners, to deliver on annual acquisition and brand objectives

Own paid media budget and forecasting, ensuring efficient allocation across products and channels to maximize acquisition ROI

Leverage consumer insights and competitive research to inform campaign development

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience :

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Advertising, Business, or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in brand management, paid media, or advertising, preferably in financial services or travel
  • Proven leadership experience managing cross-functional teams and external agency relationships
  • Strong analytical skills with experience in campaign performance tracking and optimization
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience :

  • MBA or advanced degree in a related field
  • Experience working with credit card or loyalty marketing programs
  • Familiarity with digital media platforms, in-flight advertising, and airport marketing
  • Background in acquisition marketing and customer segmentation strategies
  • Skills, Licenses & Certifications :

  • Strategic thinking and creative problem-solving
  • Proficiency in media planning tools and analytics platforms
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • No specific licenses or certifications required, but digital marketing certifications (e.g., Google Ads, Meta Blueprint) are a plus
