We are Manufacturing Engineer to join our growing team! The Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for all processes, continuous improvements, tooling, and manufacturing and plant layouts. As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will oversee one or more product lines or facilities, with the responsibility for optimizing manufacturing processes, enhancing production efficiency, and ensuring product quality. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive and implement process development and improvements, troubleshoot manufacturing issues, and support and / or lead new product launches.
RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Process Development Project Management – ensuring completion from start to finish
- Supports and / or leads product launch activities
- Review engineering specifications, process flows, and other information to understand methods and activities in manufacturing and services
- Define how to manufacture parts or products, or deliver services, with maximum efficiency
- Develop quality control procedures to resolve production problems or minimize costs
- Work with customers and management to develop standards for design and production
- Confer with clients concerning product specifications, vendors about purchases, management personnel about manufacturing capabilities, and staff about the status of projects
- Develop, recommend, and implement initiatives to improve production metrics and financial performance
- Develops manufacturing processes by studying product requirements; researching, designing, modifying, and testing manufacturing methods and equipment; conferring with equipment vendors
- Assures product and process quality by designing testing methods; testing finished- product and process capabilities; establishing standards; confirming manufacturing processes
- Provides manufacturing decision-making information by calculating production, labor, and material costs; reviewing production schedules; estimating future requirements
- Completes design and development projects by training and guiding technicians
QUALIFICATIONS :
This position is open to individuals who have worked as a direct employee in a manufacturing site.
Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering or a related field strongly preferred and / or at least 5 years of engineering-related experience in an assembly manufacturing environmentProficiency in CAD software (Solidworks, AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)Knowledge of lean manufacturing and experience with identifying and leading lean continuous improvement eventsExperience with automation development and implementationKnowledge and preferred experience with additive manufacturing technologies and processesFamiliarity with industry standard equipmentFamiliar with Automotive Industry standards and requirements, i.e. IATF 16949Strong problem-solving, analytical, and project management skillsAdequate knowledge of business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation, and human resources)Be knowledgeable of safety, quality, productivity, demand creation, inventory, and stewardship processesStrong oral and written communication skills, able to provide clear, concise information to customers, internal teams, and managementAble to collaborate and lead effectively with cross-functional teamsCompany Description
