Position Summary :
- The QE will act as the liaison between the customer ensuring product quality, resolving issues, and driving continuous improvement.
Responsibilities :
Perform daily inspections, sorting, and containment activities for machined and welded components, assemblies, axles, and powertrain partsInvestigate and resolve non-conformances (NCs) and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA)Collaborate with Client teams to address quality concerns and drive root cause analysisSupport and manage PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) documentation and submissionsFacilitate communication between Client manufacturing plants and quality teamsMonitor and report on quality metrics, trends, and improvement initiativesProvide technical support during launch phases, engineering changes, and process validationsTravel to plants or supplier sites as needed for issue resolution and quality auditsMaintain a proactive presence on the shop floor to ensure compliance with Client standards and expectationsQualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldMinimum 5 years of experience in automotive manufacturing qualityStrong background in machined parts, welded assemblies, axles, and powertrain systemsHands-on experience with plant quality systems, customer interfacing, and problem-solving tools (8D, Fishbone, 5 Whys, etc.)Proficient in CAPA, NC management, and PPAP documentationFamiliarity with Client quality systems and expectations is a strong plusExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to work independently and manage priorities in a dynamic environmentWillingness to travel 30 - 50% as neededWork Schedule :
